POTSDAM, N.Y. – The Potsdam men's hockey team scored three first-period power-play goals and went on to a 4-1 win versus Cortland Friday night in SUNYAC action. The Red Dragons dropped to 9-8-1 overall and 4-7 in the conference. The Bears improved to 5-14-1 and 4-7-1.

Alex Storjohann (Phoenix, AZ/Kirkland Lake) scored Cortland's goal off assists from seniors
Douglas Elgstam (Stockholm, Sweden/New Jersey Rockets) and
Sean Perichak (Oakville, ON/Markham Royals). Senior goalie
Nick Modica (Suffern/New Jersey Hitmen) registered 42 saves.
Vinny Guimond netted a hat trick for Potsdam, with all three goals coming with the extra-man advantage in he opening 20 minutes. Connor Cruickshank added an empty-net goal with 1:08 remaining in regulation to seal the win. Bryce Ferrell and Ryan Lieth each recorded two assists, and goalie Michael Paglucca made 40 saves.
