NEW PALTZ, N.Y.— New Paltz road a hot start to a 66-60 victory over visiting Buffalo State tonight, snapping the Bengals three-game winning streak.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Katie Villarini (Hamburg/Hamburg) paced Buffalo State with 17 points.
  • Jenna Lee (Wallkill/Wallkill) added a career-best 16 points in just 18 minutes.
  • New Paltz held the SUNYAC's leading scorer Liv LeBaron (Corning/Corning East) to just 10 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
  • New Paltz opened the game on a 11-0 run and Buffalo State was never able to pull even.
  • The Hawks led 30-18 at halftime.  The Bengals were able to chip away and close the deficit to 64-60 with 12 seconds remaining, but never got closer.
