(RESULTS) New Paltz, NY — The State University of New York at New Paltz fell to Hamilton College in the Green Out Game for mental health awareness Friday in Elting Pool, as the men's team lost, 115-90 and the women's side fell, 126-78.

Although it was a tough loss for the Hawks, there were many positive takeaways. The men's side started things off by claiming first place in the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1 minute, 42.68 seconds. The men then claimed first and second in the 1,000-yard freestyle, putting up important points. Sophomore
Jared Finn touched out a Continentals swimmer in the 100-yard freestyle putting, finishing with a winning time of 50.30.Â

Ethan Bonney continued his dominance on the season, claiming first in the men's 1,000-yard freestyle and then dropping the fastest 500-yard freestyle time in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) this season, going a 4:54.58. Bonney now has six individual victories and several top three finishes, ranking him 10th overall in points in SUNYAC.Â

The meet came down to the final event to determine a winner and although the Hawks lost the race they posted their fastest 200-yard freestyle relay of the season.Â

Several members of SUNY New Paltz's men's team had season best times on the day. Junior
Graham Cono dropped a full second in his 200-yard individual medley. Both Akvia Garfield and Zac Brown had season-best times in the men's 100-yard breaststroke and freshman Alex Palmero swam a season-best 57.66 in the men's 100-yard butterfly. Â
The Hawks women's team put up a valiant effort despite being short handed. They posted a season-best time in the 200-yard medley relay, putting up a 1:52.99. Sophomore
Victoria Bogdanski posted a personal record in the 1,000-yard freestyle after dropping more than 15 seconds from the last time she swam it. In the very next event, freshman
Delilah Griger swam a season-best 2:04.95 in the 200-yard freestyle, which elevates her to 10th in the conference for the event. Junior
Lindsay Kranitz had another fantastic day, posting two second-place finishes and taking part in a relay victory.Â

Hawks senior
Sarah Crespo posted two season-best times on the day in the women's 50-and 100-yard freestyle. Freshman
Kelly Donlevy also had a solid day, placing first in the women's 200-yard individual medley and second in the 100-yard butterfly. Donlevy now ranks fifth overall in the conference in total points, making her the Hawks MVP thus far as she holds top-10 times in five separate events.
