Plattsburgh, NY - The College at Brockport men's basketball team bounced back with a win over Plattsburgh on Saturday. Brockport improves to 8-3 overall and 3-1 in the SUNYAC, following the 94-72 road victory.

Justin Summers led the way with a game-high 24 points and snagged nine rebounds. Tyler Collins finished with 19 points, while Monte Stroman scored a career-high 18 points off the bench.

The Green and Gold took an early lead to start the game, but Plattsburgh fought to keep it close. With less than 10 minutes before halftime, the score was tied at 20-20. The Golden Eagles went on a nice run towards the end of the half to secure an 11-point edge heading into the locker room.

Stroman finished at the rim several times in the second half to extend Brockport's lead. Collins hit one of his three shots from downtown to give the team a 22-point advantage with 8:02 left to play. Brockport would continue to score the ball well down the stretch, as it cruised to a victory.

The Golden Eagles shot 7-for-17 from beyond the arc in this one, as well as outscoring Plattsburgh 50-34 in the painted area. Monte Stroman and Devante Hagins each had four steals in the contest, as the team forced 25 turnovers while only committing 10 of its own.

Plattsburgh is now 4-7 overall and 1-3 inside conference competition. The Cardinals had five double-digit scorers, as they were led by Adam Jaquish's 16-point, 14-rebound double-double.

The Golden Eagles are back on the court Tuesday for another SUNYAC battle with Buffalo State. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm back on the home court.
