PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – A strong second quarter from seniors
Sydni Eure and
Quincey Zimmerman led Oswego into the half with a 24-23 lead, but the Plattsburgh Cardinals pulled away late to win 62-51.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Plattsburgh took the early lead with a strong defensive effort to begin with a 15-6 lead after the opening quarter.
- Behind seven points in the second quarter from Zimmerman and 11 rebounds from Eure, Oswego clawed back to take a 24-23 into the half.
- The game was tied at 31-31 at 5:29 of the third quarter when the Cardinals made a 7-0 run to get some separation.
- Eure scored six on three layups to end the quarter and cut the deficit to 42-37.
- In the fourth, Plattsburgh was able to pull away late.
- Eure had 15 points and 21 rebounds to lead Oswego while Zimmerman (12) and fellow senior Morgan Wolanin (12) each reached double figures in points.
- Junior Taylor Torchia had eight assists on the day.
WHAT'S NEXT
Oswego hits the road next Friday for a 5:30 p.m. SUNYAC contest at Buffalo State. The Lakers won the first matchup between the teams on Jan 11.
