Lakers drop Devils

OSWEGO, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's basketball team would lead at the midway point of the first half, but could not hold on, dropping a 67-44 game at Oswego. Dydy Bryan had 14 points, eight rebounds, five assists and Tyler Roberts had 13 points to pace the Devils.

Tied at 16 in the early going, Alec Jones nailed a jumper and Chad Biersbach converted a layup to put the Devils up 20-16 at the halfway point of the opening frame.

Oswego scored the next twelve points before a three pointer from Roberts ended the first half. The Lakers would lead 28-23 at the break.

Moussa Samassa opened the second half with a three pointer for the Devils to make it a two-point game. The Lakers then took control on a 16-0 run, going up 44-26.

By the 9:40 mark, the Lakers would increase their lead to 23 points, 55-32, their largest of the game. 

Oswego (8-2 overall / 2-1 SUNYAC) was led by Liam Sanborn with 15 points and Joe Sullivan added 14 and 11 rebounds.

The Devils (3-5 / 0-2) travel to Cortland tomorrow for a 4 p.m. tipoff.
