BUFFALO, N.Y.—Buffalo State rallied to tie the score twice, but committed a costly penalty in overtime that led to the game-winning goal in a 3-2 victory tonight for visiting SUNY Canton.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a scoreless first period, the Kangaroos finally opened the scoring with a power-play goal with just 1:15 remaining in the second period.
- Anthony Tulipane (Buffalo, NY/Kenmore East) answered for Buffalo State midway through the third period with his second goal of the season with assists from Ben Butcher (Bellingham, WA/Langley) and Charles Barber (Queensbury, NY/Lake George).
- Canton pulled back in front with 4:09 remaining, but Nikita Kozyrev (Tallinn, Estonia) evened the score with 2:57 left, tallying his sixth goal of the season.
- Hayden Ford (Medford, NJ/St. Augustine Prep) and Zach Remers (Clarence, NY/Canisius) picked up the assists.
- A Buffalo State too many men on the ice penalty in overtime, however, set up the game-winning goal with just 32 seconds remaining.
- Canton finished 2 for 6 on the power play, while Buffalo State was 0 for 6.
- The Kangaroos outshot the Bengals 34-30.
- Emil Norrman (Kungsbacka, Sweden/Jensen) finished with 31 stops.
FOR THE FOES
- Tyson Bruce scored the overtime winner, and Kyler Matthews and Brendan McCormack also scored.
- Austin Washkurak made 28 saves for the win.
