BUFFALO, N.Y.—
Liv LeBaron (Corning/Corning East) scored a game-high 24 points, while
Katie Villarini (Hamburg/Hamburg) added 15 points and nine rebounds as Buffalo State closed the contest on a 7-3 run to survive in a 69-66 victory over the visiting Brockport in SUNYAC action this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- LeBaron finished 8 for 15 from the floor and 7 for 8 from the free-throw line.
- Villarini shot 5 for 11 from the field to go along with three assists and six steals.
- Tori Hackett (Canandaigua/Canandaigua) added eight points and nine rebounds, while Kaelee Lynch (Atwater, CA/Buhach Colony) scored 10 points off of the bench.
- Buffalo State stormed out of the gates by scoring 10 of the first 12 points to take an early lead and used a late jumper by Hackett to secure a 23-14 lead at the first intermission.
- The Bengals extended its lead to 27-16 on a pair of free throws by LeBaron with 7:55 left in the first half.
- Brockport closed the half by scoring four of the final six points to trim the deficit to 33-27 at halftime.
- Buffalo State outscored the Golden Eagles 19-18 in the third frame to maintain its slim margin and used a pair of late free throws by Villarini to take a 52-45 lead into the final stanza.
- Brockport used an 18-10 run in the first eight minutes of the fourth quarter to take its first lead of the contest, 63-62 with 1:39 left in the game.
- The Bengals converted a three-point field goal by Lynch on the next possession to recapture the lead and closed the game on a 7-3 run to clinch the win.
- Buffalo State shot 42 percent from the floor and held a 28-24 advantage in points in the paint.
- Brockport outrebounded the Bengals 41-35, but failed to overcome only shooting 37 percent from the field.
FOR THE FOES
- Anna Felice finished with a team-high 14 points on 4 of 8 shooting from distance.
- Kylee Rosbrook added 13 points and a team-high seven rebounds.
NOTEWORTHY
- With her 24 points against Brockport, Liv LeBaron moved into fifth all-time in scoring in program history with 1,235 points in 68 games at Buffalo State.
