GENESEO, N.Y.— Geneseo outscored Buffalo State 39-20 in the first half on 75 percent shooting from behind the 3-point line and held on for a 71-56 win over the visiting Bengals in SUNYAC action this evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Liv LeBaron (Corning/Corning East) nearly finished with her first career triple-double, tallying a team-high 17 points, nine rebounds and matching a career-high with eight assists.
- Katie Villarini (Hamburg/Hamburg) chipped in 15 points, six rebounds and three assists.
- Kendall Mills (Buffalo/Kenmore East) added six points off of the bench on 2 of 4 shooting from behind the 3-point line.
- Geneseo sprinted out of the gates by scoring 14 of the first 16 points, but a late 3-pointer by LeBaron trimmed the deficit to 22-11 at the first intermission.
- The Knights outscored the Bengals 17-9 in the second quarter to extend its lead to 39-20 at halftime.
- Buffalo State closed the third stanza on back-to-back three-point field goals by Villarini but could only cut the lead to 50-35 at the final intermission.
- Geneseo maintained a double-digit lead for the entire fourth quarter to complete the win.
- Buffalo State held a 16-2 advantage in fast-break points and a 16-9 edge in bench points.
- The Knights forced 17 Bengal turnovers en route to 21-16 advantage in points off of turnovers.

- Sara Ciotti paced the Knights with a game-high 20 points on 4 of 6 shooting from distance.
- Kerrin Montgomery chipped in 18 points and five rebounds, while Natalie Alfieri added 12 points.
NOTEWORTHY
- With her 17 points tonight, Liv LeBaron moved into fourth all-time in program history in scoring with 1,369 career-points in her 74 games at Buffalo State.
