POTSDAM, N.Y. - The Oswego State men's basketball team used an 11-3 run over the final three and a half minutes of play to pull away from Clarkson University to finish with an 80-72 road victory on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The pivotal run came when the teams were tied at 69-69 with 3:34 left on the clock.
- Freshman Kaleb Cook drained a 3-pointer and junior Liam Sanborn got a steal and a layup.
- Another defensive stop led to another Sanborn layup and gave Oswego a seven-point lead with 1:35 remaining in the contest.
- After Clarkson closed to 76-72, sophomore Julien Crittendon added a layup and a pair of free throws to close out the scoring.
- The teams went back and forth in the first half with Clarkson making a late five-point run over the final 2:35 to take a 31-26 lead into the half.
- Oswego found itself down by nine just a minute into the second half, but a 13-4 run, fueled by eight points from senior Joe Sullivan, tied the score back up at 40-40 with 15 minutes left on the clock.
- Over the next 11 and a half minutes, there were eight ties and seven lead changes as the teams shot the ball extremely well from the field.
- The Lakers were 20-for-28 (71.43%) from the field in the second half while Clarkson went 17-of-31 (54.84%).
- Sullivan led Oswego with 25 points in only 23 minutes of action, including 18 in the second half.
- Cook poured in 20 and Sanborn also hit double-digit points with 13.
- With such good shooting, there were only 57 rebounds in the contest and Clarkson held a slight edge, 31-26.

The Lakers head to Rochester for a non-conference matchup with Nazareth College at 7:30 p.m. next Tuesday.
