Ali Shawish (Lackawanna/Lackawanna) scored his sixth and seventh goals of the season to lift visiting Buffalo State to a 2-0 victory over Brockport in SUNYAC action this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Brockport nearly opened the scoring in the 16th minute as it tallied five shots on goal in three minutes, but failed to break through as Andreas Queen (Stone Ridge/Rondout Valley) made timely saves to keep the score even.
- Buffalo State finally broke the deadlock in the 26th minute as Shawish used an effective step over to drive past the defender and snuck a shot under the goalkeeper hands to take an early lead.
- Both teams had a chance in the closing minutes of the first half, but neither team could capitalize as the score remained 1-0 at halftime.
- The Bengals doubled their score in the 55th minute as Josh Beshaw (Lockport/Lockport) sent a through ball to a cutting Shawish who buried the one-timer in the bottom-left corner.
- Brockport had multiple scoring opportunites late, including a shot into the top-right corner that was saved by Queen, but failed to cut into the deficit.
- Queen finished a game-high six saves to preserve his seventh shutout of the season.
- Buffalo State held a slim 13-12 shots advantage to overcome a 7-4 disadvantage in corner kicks.
