HOW IT HAPPENED
- After playing from behind for much of the first half, Oswego used an 8-2 run to tie the game at 38-38 heading into the break.
- The Lakers took the lead on a Jordan Brown layup and a Sanborn three within the first two minutes of the second half.
- Two minutes later, senior Brandan Gartland nailed a three to put Oswego up 48-40 with 16 minutes left in the contest.
- Oswego pushed the lead to 15 with nine minutes left in the contest on a pair of free throws by freshman Jeremiah Sparks.
- Montclair used a 12-2 run, starting at 6:07 left, to cut the lead to five with 4:17 remaining, but a Sanborn three and a pair of free throws from Sparks moved the lead back to 10 over the next minute of play and Oswego closed out the game from there.
- The Lakers got off to a good start in the contest with a 12-5 lead just two and half minutes into play as four different players scored.
- A 15-5 run by the Red Hawks put them up 20-17 with 11:10 left in the first half and they were able to push the lead as high as six on multiple occasions before the Lakers made their late run in the half.
- Sparks finished with 18 points and seven rebounds. Gartland had 17 points and fellow senior Joe Sullivan had a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
- Freshman Kaleb Cook had six points off the bench for the Lakers.
- Oswego won the rebounding battle, 38-23 and shot 58% from the field in the game.

The Lakers return to Moravian to play the Greyhounds at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow.
