Henry Sinks Career-High 19 Points Against the Bears

POTSDAM, N.Y. – The College at Brockport women's basketball team started the new year with a 66-52 over SUNY Potsdam Friday night led by sophomore Chelsea Henry's career-high 19 points. The Golden Eagles improve to 4-6 on the season and 1-2 in SUNYAC play.

Highlights:
  • The Golden Eagles led the Bears through both halves, closing out the afternoon shooting 36% from the floor and 66% from the free throw line.
  • The team as a whole nailed 32 points in the paint and executed on 17 turnover opportunities. The Golden Eagles defense allowed for a significant margin in points off turnovers as the team trumped the Bears 100%, holding them to not a single score on their 12 turnovers.
  • The Green and Gold had three athletes put up 10+ points for 43 of the teams 66 total points.
  • Henry led the team offensively nailing a career-high 19 points and two assists. The sophomore was essential in providing second chance opportunities for the Green and Gold as well, grabbing seven rebounds and crafting four steals.
  • Almost half of Henry's points came as a result of her strong ability to force the foul and execute at the line as she sunk 9-10 attempts.
  • Erin Radack came in hot off the bench, sinking double digits points as well, accounting for 13 of the teams 19 total bench points.
  • Kylee Rosbrook provided the most well-rounded performance for the Golden Eagles, picking up yet another double-double, posting 11 points and 10 rebounds.
  • Both team's traded points for most of the game however the Green and Gold were able to pick up the largest lead (10) in the third quarter, enough to help them maintain momentum through the remainder of the game.
  • The Golden Eagles ability to hold consistency through all four quarters put them in strong position in the final minutes of the game, forcing the Bears into foul trouble allowing them to improve the lead to 14.
