NEW PALTZ, N.Y.— New Paltz shot 53 percent from the floor and connected on 12 of 22 3-pointers en route to an 83-64 win over visiting Buffalo State in SUNYAC action this evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Jordan Christopher (Bronx/Mott Haven Campus) led the Bengals in scoring with 17 points to go along with seven rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals.
  • Kay Grant (Jamaica/Thomas Jefferson) chipped in 12 points and eight rebounds, while Sheldon Adam (Rochester/Bishop Kearney) added 12 points and two rebounds.
  • Argjend Imeri (Syracuse/Nottingham) finished with eight points and five rebounds off of the bench.
  • Both teams matched each other point-for-point in the opening minutes until New Paltz used a 17-7 run to take control of the contest.
  • Buffalo State closed the half on a 13-4 run to trim the deficit to 45-37 at halftime.
  • The Bengals continued its momentum in the early stages of the second half and evened the score a 54-54 on a layup by Christopher with 12:37 left in the contest.
  • New Paltz closed the contest on a 29-10 run to clinch the conference win.
  • Buffalo State shot 33 percent from the floor but held a sizeable advantage in bench points (16-10), points off of turnover (19-12) and in second-chance points (20-15).
