OSWEGO, N.Y. - The No. 15 Oswego State ice men's hockey team rallied from a three-goal deficit to tie the game midway through the third period before a goal in the final two minutes of action prevented an upset of No. 7 Utica College Friday night in non-conference action at the Marano Campus Center Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Utica scored the opening goal of the first period on Kasper Kjellvist's seventh goal of the season at 8:06 of the period.
- The Pioneers added a goal just 55 seconds into the second period and at the 6:36 mark to pull out to a 3-0 lead.
- Sophomore Ryan Bunka scored his first collegiate point on a goal at 16:18 of the period to start the momentum shift.
- Senior Michael Gillespie and Jeff Solow had the assists on Bunka's goal.
- Just 5:06 into the third period, senior Anthony Passero scored for Oswego to cut the Utica lead to one on an assist from Alex DiCarlo.
- Three and a half minutes later, captain Josh Zizek tied it up on an assist from Jody Sullivan and had the Lakers poised for the upset.
- At 18:08, Utica's Conor Landrigan scored his second goal of the game to stymie the Oswego comeback.
- Oswego outshot Utica 46-to-36 and on-goal by 32-to-24.
- Each team won 28 faceoffs on the night with Passero (9), senior Mitch Emerson (9) and Zizek (8) leading the way.
- Cedric Hansen made 12 saves to lead Oswego on the night.

Oswego remains home for another non-conference matchup at 7 p.m. on Saturday with Elmira College.
