HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  After 10 minutes of scoreless play to start the game, the Red Dragons struck first with 5:54 left on a Michael Benasutti unassisted score. The AMCATS were able to answer back just two minutes later when Quinn Hannagan (South Windsor, CT) found the back of the net after receiving a pass from Nick Massaro (West Haven, CT).

-  Oneonta ended the first with four uncontested goals in the last 1:43 to go up 5-1.

-  Anna Maria started the next quarter off with their second score of the game on a Brandon Pavoni (Granby, MA) unassisted goal. Overall the Red Dragons scored five more in the second with the first three coming in a row. The last five goals in the quarter were both teams trading back and forth starting with Tommy Girard (Newbury, MA) at 8:03 left. Cameron Perry (Coventry, RI) and Pavoni both scored to bring the AMCATS into the locker room down 10-5.

- After half Perry opened the third with his second goal of the contest to cut the deficit to just four. That, however, would be the closest Anna Maria would get for the remainder of the game.
