Max Novick found a groove with a three-point night (2G, 1A), along with freshman
Alex DiCarlo who continued his offensive roar with two goals against to lead the Oswego State men's ice hockey team to a 5-1 win against the Potsdam Bears. Sophomore
Steven Kozikoski moved to 3-0 in backstopping the Lakers' win streak to three games.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lakers found themselves with the lead from a shot off the stick of Max Novick, assisted by Anthony Passero (20) and Tanner Spink (8) at the 6:25 mark of the first period.
- After back-and-forth play, the Bears found the tying goal at the 15:40 mark of the first period, scored by Michael McArthur and assisted by Joseph Richardson.
- Shots in the first period were much like the play, even at nine.
- Alex DiCarlo continues to dominate offensively as he notched two tonight, making it his second consecutive multi-goal game. DiCarlo's first goal was assisted by Michael Gillespie and Novick.
- Dicarlo's second goal was netted at 9:34 of the second period and was unassisted.
- Oswego, in the second period dominated their offensive zone, controlling most of the play.
- Their fourth goal came just a minute and twelve seconds after the third tally, from Novick for his second goal of the game. This ties Novick for third in points on the squad.
- Novick's second tally was assisted by Mac Lewis (1) and Tyson Kirkby (7) and was Lewis' first point as a Laker.
- The Lakers scored four unanswered goals as Michael Gillespie tallied his second point of the night with a goal, assisted by Spink (8) and Passero (15).
- DiCarlo now has eight points in his past three contests on five goals and three assists.
- Kozikoski made 30 saves in the contest, his straight straight 30-save outing.
WHAT'S NEXT
Oswego will host No. 3 SUNY Geneseo in an important matchup for the Lakers that will have implications on the top seed for the SUNYAC playoffs. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. on Friday, February 7.
