SUNYAC men’s basketball final four determined

CORTLAND, N.Y. – The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) men's basketball final four has been determined after first round games Tuesday night. No. 2 Brockport will take on Oneonta Friday at 5:30 p.m. followed by the top seed and host Oswego vs. Buffalo State at 7:30 p.m.

The third seeded Oneonta defeated sixth seeded Geneseo Tuesday night, 89-73 at home. Lawrence Coleman led the way for the Red Dragons scoring 22 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Geneseo's Justin Ringen had a team-high 26 points and eight rebounds for the Knights (14-12 overall). Box Score

The fifth seeded Buffalo State upset No. 4 Cortland, 61-59 in Cortland. Lovell Smith scored 18 points and had nine rebounds for the Bengals. Justin Cooper had 16 points and eight rebounds for the Cortland Red Dragons ending their season at 17-9 overall. Box Score

The SUNYAC men's basketball championship game is set for Saturday at 4 p.m. in Oswego.
