CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announces its Men's Soccer Athlete of the Decade, Coach of the Decade and All-Decade Team as nominated and voted on by the institution's sports information directors.

To be eligible for the All-Decade Team, athletes must have competed in the SUNYAC at least one season during the 2009-10 academic year through 2019-20 and athletes must have been named to the All-SUNYAC team more than once or named Athlete of the Year once. Athlete and Coach of the Decade recipients were previously named SUNYAC Athlete of the Year or Coach of the Year. 

SUNYAC Men's Soccer Athlete of the Decade - Dylan Williams, Oneonta

Williams was an All-American first team honoree in 2014 and second team in 2015. He was an All-Region first team selection in 2014 and 2015 and second team in 2013. Williams was the 2014 SUNYAC Player of the Year and he was a member of the All-SUNYAC first team from 2013-15. Williams was recognized on the 2013 ECAC Upstate NY All-Star list and was named to the NCAA Final Four All-Tournament team in 2015. His team made it to the NCAA DIII Final Four in 2014 and 2015. The Red Dragons won the SUNYAC championship title three times during his four year career at Oneonta (2012, 2014, 2015). Williams was a two-time first team NSCAA Scholar All-American, two-time first team NSCAA Scholar All-Region, and was on the 2015 CoSIDA Academic All-District 3 team. He was inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma National Student Athlete Honor Society and was honored on the SUNYAC All-Academic Team all four years. Williams started 70 of 84 career games and totled 27 goals, 16 assists, (70 points) with 11 game-winning goals. 

SUNYAC Men's Soccer Coach of the Decade - Iain Byrne, Oneonta

Byrne compiled a 153-37-25 overall record during the past decade and led his team to six SUNYAC titles and eight NCAA tournament appearances. Of those eight appearances his team made it to the NCAA Division III tournament semifinals three times (2011, 2014, 2015). Byrne was named the SUNYAC Coach of the Year four times and the East Region Coach of the Year two times in the last 10 years. He has coached three SUNYAC Players of the Year, five Rookies of the Year, two Offensive and three Defensive Players of the Year and nine All-Americans including four first team selections.
