Senior defender Joe Gula helped Plattsburgh State men's soccer to a 2-0-0 record on the week, as the Cardinals moved into a points tie with SUNY Oneonta for first place in the SUNYAC. Gula began the week by scoring the game-winning goal in Plattsburgh State's 2-1 win at SUNY Geneseo on Friday. With nine seconds remaining in the second overtime period, Gula coralled a corner kick in the 18-yard box and quickly fired a right-footed strike into the upper-right corner for his first career game-winning goal in the 110th minute. On Saturday, Gula was part of a defensive unit that shut out The College at Brockport in a 1-0 win.
