Brockport defeats New Paltz for SUNYAC Volleyball title

BROCKPORT, N.Y. –  Brockport defeated New Paltz, 3-1 (25-21, 25-19, 24-26, 25-14) to take the 2016 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) volleyball crown. This is the second-straight conference championship win and seventh overall for the Golden Eagles. 

With the win Brockport earned an automatic bid into the 2016 NCAA Tournament. 

The Tournament Most Valuable Player, Sam Holdredge had 17 kills and 16 digs in the final match. Noelle Poloncarz had 45 assists and 16 digs while Kathleen Irwin added 29 digs and were both named to the SUNYAC All-Tournament Team.
