Cortland Facts

SUNY Cortland sponsors 25 varsity athletic teams (14 women's, 11 men's), including all 20 sports that the SUNYAC offers. Cortland is one of five schools nationwide, and the only New York institution, to place in the top 25 of the national all-sports Directors' Cup standings every year since they were first compiled on a Division III level in 1996. Cortland has also won the SUNYAC Commissioner's Cup, which recognizes all-around sports excellence, 17 of 19 times since the 1996-97 season. Cortland has won 25 team and 100 individual titles. Most recently, the Red Dragon baseball and women's lacrosse teams each won 2015 NCAA titles.
