MLax: Lasers Drop Game to SUNY Cortland

Springfield, MA - The Lasell Lasers fell to the SUNY Cortland Red Dragons on Friday by a final score of 17-2. The Lasers are now 1-3 on the season while Cortland is 3-0.

After 10 minutes with neither team scoring, the Red Dragons got on the board. They would score four goals in the first quarter. They then scored another goal just a minute into the second quarter. They led 7-0 when Landon Reyes found the back of the net for the Lasers. The Lasers trailed 9-1 at halftime.

The second half was more of the same, as the Lasers were outscored 8-1. The one goal came in the fourth uarter when Reyes scored with five minutes remaining in the game.

Reyes led the team with six shots, while Adam Haytayan had five. Matthew Carbone and Magnus Leonard each had four ground balls, while Ethan Dallas and Tyler Rose each had two caused turnovers. Starting goalie Michael Catalano played the first three quarters and made 17 saves, while Liam Hill made one save in the fourth.
