SUNYAC playoff breakdown: Who's In, Who's Out?

CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) fall sports are quickly coming to an end. As we go into the last weekend of conference play, the women's soccer, men's soccer, women's volleyball, and field hockey playoff spots are still up for contention.

Women's Soccer

Who's In: Top seed is set

Geneseo - The Knights have clinched the No. 1 overall seed for the SUNYAC championship with a 7-0 SUNYAC record and a total of 21 points.

Who's Still Alive: There are five playoff spots open for eight schools. Oneonta has played eight conference games while everyone else has played seven, each school plays nine conference games.

Who's In: Four teams clinched playoff spots

Cortland - Currently first in the conference with 18 points and a 6-1-0 record. 

Brockport - Second in the conference with 17 points and a 5-0-2 record. 

Oneonta - One of two schools that has played eight conference games already, Oneonta is currently in third with 17 points and a 5-1-2 record. 

New Paltz - The Hawks have also played eight conference games, and are currently fourth with 16 points and a 5-2-1 record. 

Who's Still Alive: There are four schools fighting for two remaining playoff spots.

Who's In: Two teams clinched playoff spots

New Paltz - First in the standings with an undefeated record of 6-0.

Geneseo - Tied for first place with an undefeated record of 6-0.

Who's Still Alive: Eight schools are still alive and fighting for the remaining four playoff spots, no school has been eliminated yet with three conference matches remaining for each team.

Women's Field Hockey

Who's In: All four playoff spots are filled, but the higher seeds are still up for grabs. Each school plays six conference games.

Oneonta - The only undefeated team remaining with a record of 5-0.

New Paltz - Currently in second place with a record of 4-1.

Geneseo - Third place with a record of 4-2, with no games remaining.

Cortland - The Red Dragons are 3-2 and currently hold fourth place.
