Cross returned to the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) in 2012 where she was the publicist in 2004-05 under former SUNYAC Commissioner Patrick Damore.
 
Cross was promoted to Associate Commissioner in 2016 after serving as the Assistant Commissioner from August 2012 through July 2016. She serves as the director of conference communications, administers conference championships and conference awards programs, manages the NCAA conference grant program and assists with the conference fiscal management.

Cross has prior experience with Divisions I, II and III collegiate athletics as well as professional and international athletics. She also has her New York State Physical Education Teaching Certificate and was a teacher and coach at the high school level for three years.

Megan earned her master of science in sport management from East Stroudsburg University (ESU). While completing her degree, Cross was the sports information graduate assistant. Megan went on to work for the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Ma. as the Assistant Director of Athletic Media Relations.

Prior to getting her graduate degree, Megan was the website assistant for the Buffalo Bills. Her responsibilities included game day coverage as well as writing and designing content for buffalobills.com.

A graduate of SUNY Cortland, Cross received a bachelor of arts in communication studies and a minor in sport management and computer applications. She also earned her bachelor of science in education from SUNY Cortland. Megan played four years of softball for the Red Dragons and was a member of the SUNYAC championship team that competed in the Division III World Series her senior year.
