CORTLAND, N.Y. - After a stellar performance last week, Plattsburgh senior Jonathan Patron (Huntington, N.Y.) earns the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week for the second week in a row. 

Patron averaged 30.7 points per game,13.3 rebounds per game, and shot 53.8% in field goals as the Cardinals went 3-0 on the road against Potsdam, Fredonia, and Buffalo State. On Tuesday, Patron had a double-double with 20 points and 15 rebounds in their 77-75 overtime victory against Potsdam. He recorded another double-double on Friday netting 31 points and grabbing 15 rebounds in Plattsburgh's 87-70 win over Fredonia. To cap off the week, Patron matched his career high of 41 points and had 10 rebounds for his 14th double-double of the season during the team's 91-77 triumph over Buffalo State. 

During Plattsburgh's win on Tuesday over Potsdam, Jonathan Patron broke the program's career points record that was held by Anthony Williams (2004-2008). Patron had 1728 points coming in to the game and his 20 point game put him over the previous record of 1734. The Plattsburgh senior continues to lead the SUNYAC in points and rebounds.
