Broughman had a big weekend, recording four points on three goals and an assist, helping the Lakers to go 1-0-1 on the weekend. In Friday's 3-0 shutout of Brockport, the freshman added an insurance tally at 18:31 in the second period, just six seconds after returning to the ice from serving a slashing penalty. In Saturday's high-intensity contest with No. 2/2 Genseso, the Mechanicsville, Va. native helped the Lakers snap the Knights' 17-game win streak with a 4-4 (OT) tie. Both of Oswego's first period goals game by way of the forward, as he answered 2-of-3 of Genseo?s first period tallies, knotting the game at 1-1 and 2-2. His goals broke goalie Devin McDonald's scoreless streak of 258:49, the fourth longest span in NCAA Division III history. The Lakers return to action at 7 p.m. on Friday as they finish the regular season with a north-country road trip, beginning with Potsdam.
