Sophomore midfielder Ankit Patel scored all three goals for Plattsurgh State as the Cardinals went 2-0-0 on the week to clinch a berth in the 2019 SUNYAC Men's Soccer Tournament and move into a tie with SUNY Oneonta for first place in the SUNYAC standings. Patel started the week by scoring the game-winning goal in the 74th minute of Plattsburgh State's 1-0 win over SUNY Cortland on Friday at the Field House Complex. Patel then scored both Plattsburgh State goals in the Cardinals' 2-0 win over Oswego State in a home match on Saturday. He scored what turned out to be the game-winning goal in the seventh minute of the match and then added an insurance goal in the 70th minute. With the three goals, Patel tallied six points on the week.
