Walts allowed only eight hits and five walks and struck out 28 batters over 18 innings in three starts during the week for the Red Dragons. In a 2-0 win over New Paltz on Sunday Walts was one out away from a no-hitter before allowing a single with two outs in the top of the seventh. She finished with a one-hitter and struck out a career-high 13 batters. Earlier in the week, Walts fanned 11 batters and gave up only two hits and three walks in a 16-0, five-inning victory at Potsdam. She finished the week with a 1.56 ERA and a 2-0 record (she had a no decision in Cortland's 5-4 win vs. Oneonta on Saturday).
