Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Linda Banfield backstopped the Bengals to the top of the SUNYAC standings with two more 1-0 shutouts over Oswego and Cortland on the road this weekend. She extended her shutout streak to 267 minutes, 50 seconds, including an eight-save performance in an overtime victory over Oswego. She also had five saves in the win over Cortland and had did not allow a goal against St. John Fisher on Tuesday before leaving with an injury. All seven of her shutouts this season have resulted in 1-0 victories for the Bengals. She leads the SUNYAC with both a 0.41 goals against average and a .896 save percentage.
