TENNIS DOUBLES TEAM OF THE WEEK –

The Geneseo junior tandem of Cat Crummey and Marylen Santos has repeated as the Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week.  Santos and Crummey teamed up to record a 2-0 first doubles mark during the second week of the season. Individually they posted 2-0 marks at first and second singles, respectively. The duo blanked Brockport's top doubles team of Lauren Bohman and Rachel Lamont 8-0 on Sept. 9, leading the Knights to a 9-0 sweep. On Sept. 12, Geneseo traveled to New Paltz where the Knights handed the Hawks their first loss of the season, a 7-2 defeat led by Crummey and Santos teaming up for an 8-5 first doubles triumph vs. Jessica Schmidt and Veronika Paikin. The victories give Geneseo (4-0/2-0 West) the inside track on the top seed heading into the SUNYAC Tournament Oct. 10-12 in Binghamton, N.Y.
