SUNY New Paltz won its second straight State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Field Hockey Title in a shootout after a 4-4 double overtime tie with top-seeded SUNY Cortland Saturday.
This is the Hawks second-ever field hockey championship, both under current head coach Shanna Vitale.
New Paltz earns an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championships for the second consecutive year.
