PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The third-seeded Oswego State (19-9) men's basketball team knocked off No. 1 Plattsburgh (19-8), 70-58, to earn its second State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championship in just four years on Saturday at Memorial Hall. With the victory, Oswego will make an appearance in the NCAA DIII Championship after grabbing the conference's automatic bid.
Walter Sampson and SUNYAC Tournament MVP Walter Sampson lead Oswego with 17 points each while Mike Mitchell had a team high 15 points for Plattsburgh.
