SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Cortland's Austin Grunder has been named the SUNYAC Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week for the fifth time this season.

Grunder averaged 28.5 points, 14.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game in two Cortland road wins as the Red Dragons clinched the third seed for the upcoming SUNYAC tournament. On Friday he scored 27 points on 10-of-17 shooting and pulled down 17 rebounds in an 83-74 win at Buffalo State, in the process becoming Cortland's career rebounding leader. The following day he scored 30 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out four assists in a 67-60 victory at Geneseo. The senior has 936 rebounds in his three seasons at Cortland and is also the program's career scoring leader with 1,660 points.
