The "StrikeOut Cancer" initiative unites the American Cancer Society and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association to help raise awareness and funds to assist in the battle against cancer. Since starting the StrikeOut Cancer program over 10 years ago, NFCA membership teams have raised tens of thousands of dollars to support the fight against cancer.Â

Members of the Plattsburgh State women's basketball team will be on-hand to conduct a 50/50 raffle and sell pink t-shirts. All proceeds will be donated to the Alex Hollander Education Fund. Alex is the son of former Buffalo State softball coach of 24 years, Sandy Hollander, who lost her six-year battle with cancer during the 2012 season.
