Cortland Field Hockey Earns No. 1 Seed going into League Championship Play

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Cortland field hockey finished the regular season undefeated (6-0) to earn the No. 1 seed going into the SUNYAC post season while New Paltz (5-1) was second. Both teams will host semifinal games on Wednesday, November 1.

The Red Dragons will face the fourth-seeded Brockport (3-3) while the Hawks will take on No. 3 Geneseo ((4-2) at 2 p.m. on Wednesday. View bracket here.

The 2023 championship game is set for Saturday, Nov. 4 at the higher seed. Cortland won its 16th SUNYAC field hockey title in 2022 and leads the league in overall conference crowns. New Paltz is second with six titles and Geneseo has three. Click here for more history.
