Oswego Men's Basketball Set To Host NCAA Tournament this Weekend

OSWEGO, NY – The SUNY Oswego men's basketball team has officially made the NCAA Division II tournament for the third season in a row. They will play host once again this year starting this Friday at 3:30 PM in Laker Hall.

After Falling to the New Paltz Hawks in the conference championship on Saturday, the Lakers anxiously waited to see the outcome of their NCAA future. On Monday afternoon it was announced that once again they will host, and this season will welcome Babson College, DeSales University, and Williams College. The Lakers will take on Babson Friday night at 6:00 PM in Laker Hall. Prior to that game, Williams will play DeSales at 3:30 PM. A brief look at the bracket below.

The Lakers finished the season with a 25-2 record going undefeated in regular season conference play. They are led by senior guard Jeremiah Sparks who is on the top 50 watch list for the Bevo Francis Award. Junior Ahkee Anderson has also been integral to the team's success as a strong defender and a reliable offensive threat. Oswego has returned four starters from last year's NCAA tournament team (Jamal AchilleAhkee AndersonJeremiah SparksCartier Bowman) and look to make another big splash in this season's tournament.
