NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - Cortland defeated New Paltz, 57-52, to win the 2023 SUNYAC women's basketball championship title for the eighth time overall and the first time since 2010, Saturday night at the Hawks Center. With the win the Red Dragons earned an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. 

Nyia Longford was named the SUNYAC Tournament MVP after totaling 20 points, 20 rebounds, 11 assists, seven steals and a block for Cortland in the semfinal and final games.
