SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The New Paltz women's tennis team has been picked No. 1 in the 2023 SUNYAC preseason poll as voted on by the conference coaches. The Hawks will defend the title in 2024 after winning their eighth conference crown in the spring of 2023 as the top seed.
Oneonta was voted No. 2 in the poll. The Red Dragons will look to win their second SUNYAC title in the spring after taking the conference crown in 2022.
Tied at the third spot, this season the Cortland Red Dragons and the Geneseo Knights will play to win their eighth and 12th overall conference tennis titles respectively. Geneseo last won in 2017 while Cortland lifted the trophy in 2005.
