SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC recognizes New Paltz's Justine Stanejko as this week's Women's Tennis Singles Athelte of the Week and Plattsburgh's duo Ava Carey and Jacklin Mitchell as the Doubles Team of the Week.

Stanejko went undefeated this weekend all at first singles to help the Hawks clinch their sixth-straight No. 1 seed entering the conference tournament in April. She earned a 6-0, 6-3 win over Geneseo, 6-0, 6-0 win over Fredonia and 6-2, 6-2 win over Brockport.

Carey and Mitchell won all three of their doubles matches last week at the Binghamton Tennis Center, as the pair competed twice at No.2 doubles and once at No. 3 doubles. Against Brockport in No. 2 doubles, the pair won a tiebreaker to defeat their opponents 8-7 (8-6). Against Geneseo, they won at No. 3 doubles, winning 8-5, before finishing their week with a win at No. 2 doubles against Fredonia, 8-4.
