New Paltz wins 2016 SUNYAC women's basketball championship

NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - New Paltz captured its second-ever State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) crown and an automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament as the top-seeded Hawks defeated Geneseo, 65-52, Saturday at home.

The MVP of the tournament, Goldie Harrison had 18 points to lead the Hawks past the Knights.
