Geneseo wins 2023 SUNYAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Team Title

BROCKPORT. - Geneseo won the 2023 SUNYAC women's indoor track and field championship with 275.5 points, Saturday at Brockport's SERC Field House. This is the Knights sixth-straight SUNYAC title and 13th overall. Brockport finished second while Cortland was third. 


Individual Awards:

The Women's Most Valuable Performer of the meet with the most overall points goes to Nat Sawyer from Buffalo State.

The Women's Most Outstanding Performance of the meet will be voted on and announced next week.

Elite 20

The SUNYAC Elite 20, is an award modeled after the NCAA ELITE 90 program, which recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the conference championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers. This year there is a tie between Geneseo teammates Nieve Mahood and Veronica Szygalowicz with a 4.0 GPA. Mahood is a sophomore psychology major and Szygalowicz is a junior majoring in Biology.
