Senior Kelly Nowak of Brockport was named SUNYAC Volleyball Player of the Week. Nowak was dominant for Brockport, leading the team with 82 kills in five matches . She posted four double-doubles at the Ithaca Invitational en route to All-Tournament team honors. Nowak averaged 4.82 kills and 3.12 digs per set while recording 10 or more kills in all five matches. She started the week with 17 kills against St. John Fisher in a dual match. At the Ithaca Invitational, Nowak posted 10 kills, 13 digs in a 3-0 win over Rutgers-Newark and followed with a 20 kills, 11 dig performance against the host Bombers. On Saturday, she continued her stellar offensive output against Widener and Union with 15 kills and 20 kills respectively. Nowak has posted double-digit kill totals in nine of the 10 matches so far this season. Brockport hosts nationally ranked Cortland on Wednesday Sept. 14th.
