CORTLAND, NY - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected Geneseo 's Isaac Garcia-Cassani as this week's Indoor Track and Field Track Athlete of the Week, and Cortland's Dawan Jones as this week's Field Athlete of the Week.
Jones finished second and was the top collegiate finisher in the triple jump at the Cornell University Kane Invitational. His distance of 14.79 meters (48' 6.25"). This is the second week in a row that Jones has won the award.
Garcia-Cassani posted the fifth-best mile time in Division III this winter with a time of 4:12 at the Boston University John Thomas Terrier Classic, Saturday. He finished 43rd in a field that included open runners from around the world as well as DI and DII competitors.
