Rossini and Bellino Tabbed SUNYAC Wrestler and Rookie of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC recognizes Oswego's Tyler Rossini as the Men's Wrestler of the Week and Cortland's Culley Bellino as the Rookie of the Week.

Rossini, the #4 seed won the RIT Invitational at 149 pounds going 4-0 on the day. Rossini opened the tournament with a fall over Jack DaVoe of Wesleyan and a 9-3 decision over Clay Rankin of RIT. He then defeated top seeded Calvin Cai of Case Western Reserve 8-1. In the title match, Rossini won a 4-2 decision over the number 2 seed Peyton Heard of Penn State-Behrend.

Bellino won the 141-pound title at the Elizabethtown Blue Jay Classic with a 4-0 record that included four pins. He started with a fall against Orion Newell of Scranton in just 32 seconds and needed just 44 seconds to earn his second pin versus Elizabethtown's Scott Reagan. In the semifinals, Bellino pinned Dustin Smith of Roanoke in 3:30 and capped off his performance with a fall in 2:21 of Jack Bauer of Wilkes in 2:21. Bellino raised his season record to 14-3 with a team-best 11 pins.
