CORTLAND, N.Y.- The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has made its final selection for Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week. The SUNYAC Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships will take place on October 28 in Potsdam, N.Y.  

Cortland's Brian Thurston has been named the top runner in the conference this week. The Long Beach native placed eighteenth out of the fifty-five runner field to lead the Red Dragon force at the Cornell John Reif Memorial Invitational. He finished with a time of 17:13.9 on the 5,000 meter course.
