SUNYAC Announces 2024 Indoor Track & Field Most Outstanding Performance Awards

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC presents Buffalo State's Tyler McGrath and Natalia Sawyer with the 2024 Men's and Women's Most Outstanding Performance awards. This award recognizes unique or objectively superior performances (conference record, meet record, national qualifying mark, etc.) at the conference championship. McGrath and Sawyer were also recognized as the Men's and Women's Most Valuable Performer at the conference championship on Saturday.

McGrath was the 200 meter SUNYAC champion after running a time of 21.84 which ranks No. 8 in Division III. McGrath also won the 60 meter run and was named Most Valuable Performer, with the highest point total of any individual.

Sawyer was a triple winner at the conference championship meet. Her 60 meter hurdle time of 8.56 broke the SUNYAC championship meet record, as well as the facility record. Her time currently ranks third in Division III. Sawyer was also victorious in the 200 meter and 400 meter races. She compiled the most individual points to win the Most Valuable Performer award.
