Cortland's Luis Misla Selected to D3baseball.com National Team of the Week

Cortland junior Luis Misla (Tampa, FL/Riverview) has been named to the D3baseball.com National Team of the Week for the week ending March 31. The team consists of the top players for the week, by position, among all Division III schools. Misla is one of four starting pitchers who were honored.
 
In addition, Misla was the lone honorable mention honoree for the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Division III Pitcher of the Week award.
 
Misla was dominant on the mound in two Cortland victories during the week, finishing with a 0.64 ERA, three hits allowed, 21 strikeouts and four walks in 14 innings pitched. He tossed a complete-game three-hitter with 13 strikeouts and two walks in a 4-1 win at Oneonta on Monday, March 27, and on Saturday he pitched five no-hit innings with eight strikeouts and two walks in a 3-0 home victory over Plattsburgh.
 
In seven starts this season, Misla has a 2-2 record and 2.50 ERA. He's pitched 36 innings and has allowed just 18 hits with 54 strikeouts with 15 walks.
 
Cortland (12-8-1, 6-0 SUNYAC) is scheduled to host Brockport in a three-game series this weekend - a single game Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and a doubleheader Sunday at noon.
