SUNYAC selects Wells and Reinoehl as Field Hockey Athletes of the Week

Cortland N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) would like to announce this week's Field Hockey Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week. This week's Offensive Athlete of the Week is the junior from Oneonta Ally Wells. The Defensive Athlete of the Week is the junior from Cortland Kailynne Reinoehl.

Wells had a great weekend for the Red Dragons with three goals and an assist on the week. She had a goal and assist against conference opponent New Paltz in Oneonta's 4-1 win. Wells added another two goals in Oneonta's 5-1 win over Keuka in their second game of the weekend.

Reinoehl helped the Red Dragons to a 2-1 record last week, posting a 2-1 mark with a 0.35 GAA, 15 saves, a .938 save percentage and one shutout. In a 1-0 setback at 20th-ranked William Smith on Wednesday, Reinoehl made eight saves in the losing effort. She then played 60 scoreless minutes in a 6-0 victory at Brockport on Friday. Reinoehl also made seven saves in a 3-0 shutout win at Ithaca on Sunday. For the season, she has a 7-3 record with a 1.14 GAA, 58 saves, a .841 save percentage and three shutouts.
