Hoehn, Shiller and Hein Take SUNYAC Men's Ice Hockey Weekly Honors

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC names Potdam's Mason Hoehn the league's Men's Ice Hockey Player of the Week. Plattsburgh's Eli Shiller is the Goaltender of the Week and Cortland's Hunter Hein the Rookie of the Week.

Hoehn had three points in the Bears weekend sweep at Saint Michael's. He had an assist in Potsdam's 5-2 win on Friday and two goals, including the overtime game-winner, in the Bears' 3-2 victory on Saturday.

Shiller helped lead the Cardinals to two wins over the weekend, earning All-Tournament honors as the team won the Comfort Inn Complex Winter Classic Championship. Shiller stopped 18 shots in the team's opening round win, allowing just one goal, before making 16 saves in the championship win against Albertus Magnus.

In his lone start of the week, Hein turned aside 29 shots in Cortland's 5-2 non-conference victory Tuesday night at Manhattanville. Hein stopped all 14 shots he faced in the third period for the Red Dragons. For the season, Hein has posted a 3-0 record with a 2.00 GAA and a .934 save percentage.
